12.31.2022 22:03 Identity Management Servers Maintenance - Monday, December 26, 10am - 2pm

Upgrades will be performed on additional identity management servers (CS authentication, LDAP, DNS). Because of the redundancy, we expect minimal impact to our user community.

Our web load balancers will be updated. Because of redundancy, we expect minimal impact to our user community. SSH connections to GitLab may fail momentarily.

Upgrades will be performed on one of several identity management servers (CS authentication, LDAP, DNS). Because of the redundancy, we expect minimal impact to our user community.

12.26.2022 00:12 Core network upgrade - Sunday, December 25, 1 PM to midnight

Network outage of up to 20 minutes projected in early afternoon.

Other intermittent network disruptions of a short duration and packet loss are possible for all traffic through the CS datacenter during the full maintenance window.

Users in IRB may experience packet loss but should not experience a network outage to the internet.

The CS FTP service has been discontinued. The content previously accessible at ftp://ftp.cs.umd.edu is still accessible at https://ftp.cs.umd.edu.

The IP addresses for all Windows/Samba file servers have changed. If you can not access shares/samba, please clear your DNS cache and/or contact the helpdesk.

11.24.2022 12:42 cPanel Shared Hosting Maintenance Windows- Nov 11, 5:00 PM

We are performing maintenance on our cPanel Shared Hosting platform.  A short outage can be expected while the server reboots.

11.24.2022 12:42 Main Load Balancer SSL Certificates Updated - 10/2

The new certificates are ECC instead of RSA, but this should not affect any supported web browser. Contact the helpdesk if you have issues accessing department services due to SSL certificate issues.

Gitlab will be undergoing software updates on Tuesday, 10/25, between 5 PM and 7 PM EDT and may be unavailable for short periods during that time.
