Save Settings

  • You can save the hierarchies you created, color binning properties, and the filtering options by using Save Settings.


  • After making the changes to your ".tm3" file, select File from the menu bar and click on Save Settings from the file menu.


  • Choose or type in the name you wish to call your file. (The extension ".tms" will automatically be added at the end of the file).



  • The following settings are saved.
    • Type of Partitioning Method: Slice and Dice, Squarified, or Strip
    • Font Size
    • Border Size
    • Enable/Disable pop-up features
    • Label by attribute
    • Size by attribute
    • Color by attribute
    • Type of Binning in the color binning widget
    • Number of bins in the type of binning
    • Colors changed in the different bins
    • Automatically Hide Filtered Nodes enabled/disabled
    • Maximum depth slider
    • All range sliders
    • Hierarchy(ies) created
    • Type of binning and number of bins in the hierarchy(ies)
    • Treemap Title
    • Zoomed level
    • Aggregate function


  • The following settings are NOT saved.
    • The nodes that were filtered out in the .tm3 file will appear as gray in the saved .tms file. This way you will be able to see which nodes were filtered out in the original file.
