Women of Applied Mathematics: Research and Leadership

The women faculty in the college of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (PAMS) met, to discuss areas of common concerns, and to give feedback both to the college and to the university's Association of Women Faculty. In response to the discussion, the Dean of PAMS appointed a Childcare Task Force to study the feasibility of improving the childcare situation for faculty in the college, including even the option of opening an onsite day care center for and run by the college (which has only 200 faculty).
