Overview The web site will introduce to you the MMX Technology, the media extensions for Intel Architecture (IA). It will try to detail the MMX technology and explains how to used the new MMX instructions in order to improve your application performance. After reading this, you should be able to understand how the MMX Instructions enhance applications performance, be more familiar with the MMX Technology's new "software mode" (new data types, registers, and instructions), and master the MMX instructions syntax and hardware operations. Hopefully you will be able to write some of your own code!!!!
Editor's notes: Due to the complexity of the topic, all we can cover is always too little to get you very far. To be more familiar with MMX syntax you have to practice more on your own!!!!! (how often do I hear this?!) |
