Statement on Accommodations & Accessibility
The Department of Computer Science is committed to creating and maintaining an accessible and inclusive fair experience for all students. Any student in need of accommodation for transportation, to attend the Career Fair, navigate the space, or talk with employers, contact the Special Events Coordinator at cscareerfairs@umd.edu and copy Accessibility and Disability Service at adsfrontdesk@umd.edu at least one week before the fair to request disability accommodations. Additionally, a volunteer will be available on-site to assist with navigation or other needs as required.
Before You Go
Review your resume and be prepared to be asked questions pertaining to it as well as to answer technical questions. Recruiters will have access to your resume and will write notes.
Be prepared to talk about yourself. Think about interesting projects that you have worked on outside of class, and review the classes that you have taken. Recruiters want to know about your interests, accomplishments and your goals and how you might fit into their company. Be confident in your abilities.
Dress & Belongings
We encourage students to dress in a business casual attire. To ensure a comfortable experience, we strongly recommend leaving bulky items, such as backpacks and bags at home. Instead, we suggest bringing a folder with your resume to keep your materials organized and easily accessible for recruiters.
