Pre-registration is required as onsite registration will not be offered. Entry to the Spring 2025 Computer Science Career and Internship Fair will be limited to registered students from select majors and programs (see below). All eligible students may enter the fair on a first-come, first-serve basis within their group. Students will not have a time restriction at the fair. Registration will close on Monday, February 24, 2025.
- Name Badges: Name badges will be provided at the event. Name badge pickup will not be a separate event. No badge will be issued in advance of the fair.
- Personal Belongings: To ensure a comfortable experience, we recommend leaving bulky items, such as backpacks and bags at home. Instead, we suggest bringing a folder with your resume to keep your materials organized and easily accessible for recruiters.
- Eligible Majors: The Spring 2025 Computer Science Career and Internship Fair is only open to Computer Science undergraduate and graduate students, Computer Science Alumni, and current students from the programs listed above. To ensure fairness and consistency regarding eligibility requirements, the Department of Computer Science is unable to grant exceptions for majors/programs not featured on this list.
- Letters and Sciences (LTSC): Students in Letters and Sciences (undeclared) are not eligible to attend the fair. Upon successful (future) matriculation into one of the eligible majors, you will be able to register and attend the fair. To ensure fairness and consistency regarding eligibility requirements, the Department of Computer Science is unable to grant exceptions.
- Request for Exceptions: Requests for exceptions will only granted in very rare circumstances.
- Expectations: Students attending the fair are expected to comply with the fair protocol set forth by the Department of Computer Science, including the entrance time assigned to their group. If you have any questions about any protocol or guideline, please email cscareerfairs@umd.edu.
- Wait Times: Due to the popularity of this event, students may experience a wait or lines to check in or enter the fair. In all situations, the Department of Computer Science will make a good-faith effort to expedite the check-in process, minimize wait times, and ensure a positive experience for students and employers.
- Directions: Ballroom maps will be provided to each student at check-in. In addition, signage and directions will be posted at the entry and exit doors in the Grand Ballroom.
