I am Jay Ghurye, a graduate student in Department of Computer Science at University of Maryland at College Park. My research interest includes Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, particularly developing algorithms for genome and metagenome assembly. I work with Prof. Mihai Pop at Center of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.

Prior to joining UMD, I completed my undergrad in Computer Engineering at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute in Mumbai, India.
