Laboratory for INtegrated Knowledge Systems

   The primary goal of this lab is to support the integration of diverse, heterogeneous data sources and reasoning paradigms to as to support intelligent decision making in a wide variety of application areas. Our work focuses on heterogeneous databases and mediation technology, agent technology, multimedia databases and systems, inferential reasoning (data mining, uncertain inference, planning). We have worked with companies (such as BBN, Lockheed, Boeing, Northrup Grumman and Toshiba) as well as with government agencies (DARPA, Army) and labs (such as the Army Research Lab and the Naval Research Lab).
