WORKSHOP 1: Interfaces for Mobile Devices

While PDAs, phones, and other mobile devices have become extremely
popular, they still often remain challenging to use. There has been a
huge amount of research on the engineering, networking and selling of
these devices - but still not enough on the specialized interfaces
needed to really make these devices effective.
In this workshop, we aim to get a group of researchers and practioners
working on interfaces for mobile devices together to learn from each
other, and to discuss what is needed to push this field ahead. The
workshop will consist of presentations by the participants,
discussion, and brainstorming.
Logistics:
The workshop will take place Friday May 29, 2003 at the University of Maryland and will run from approximatively 10am to 4pm (to be confirmed), followed by a reception. We will limit the number of participants to 20.
