I am a fifth year Ph.D. candidate in the Computer Science Department at the University of Maryland, College Park under the supervision of Rama Chellappa. My research interests involve several different fields including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision. Generally I am interested in modeling the subtleties in human perception.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2013. I worked under the supervision of Dr. George Bebis at the University of Nevada, Dr. Mubarak Shah at the University of Central Florida, and Dr. Ara Nefian at NASA Ames Research center over my four years at the University of Nevada, Reno.
I am the Chair of the Computer Science Graduate Student Executive Council. We organize events for graduate students including a monthly coffee hour, movie night, and game night, in addition to several panels throughout the year and the annual picnic.
I am a Future Faculty Fellow, and I have co-taught the introductory machine learning course with Professor David Jacobs.
