Below are several things you can try.
If that doesn't work, please download the application. We find that people
have fewer problems with the application than with the applet.
You may have two or more versions of java plugins. You should make sure that
your browser is using the correct plugin.
For example, in Internet Explorer, this can be checked by going to
Internet explorer -> tools -> Internet Options-> Advanced(tab) and check whether the checkbox under Java(Sun) is enabled. If it is not
enabled, you should enable the check box that refers to the correct (java 1.4 or
higher) plugin.
If you are trying to load the applet more than once, it is helpful to clean
the internet cache and try the applet. Most of the times, if they are using
Internet explorer, the applet is loaded from cache and they keep getting the
same error again and again.
Also, it is helpful to check the status on the browser. If the applet runs
successfully, the status is "applet started". If there is any problem, the
status says "applet not inited".
The JVM console gives error messages when something goes wrong with the
applet. It is always advisory to look into the console and be specific about the
problem. We can offer more help if you could identify the problem.
When you run the applet, the JVM console appears on the taskbar. Right click on
the console icon and select open console.
