What made you choose UMD for graduate school?
Among the schools I was considering, UMD stood out for the number of faculty working at the intersection of human-computer interaction, disability studies, privacy, and accessibility. The iSchool holds collaboratory potential, especially considering my interest in interdisciplinary, sociotechnical research. I also appreciate the proximity to major cities such as DC, Philly and Baltimore.
What are your plans post-graduation?
I hope to find a research and teaching position in academia, or a design role in industry. I also plan to continue advocating for Disabled people, particularly within academia.
What are your hobbies?
I love making art, cooking, meditating, taking care of plants, hiking, and watching Japanese animated TV shows.
