Hi! My name is Dhruva (he/him), and I am a 2nd year PhD student (started in Fall 2020). 

Q. What made you choose UMD for graduate school?

A. I choose UMD for graduate school because it's one of the top universities to do research in machine learning and it's related fields like vision, nlp, etc. 

Q. Why did you choose computer science as your field of study?

A. I have always been fascinated with how computer science can be used to solve/study many complex and challenging real-world problems. 

Q. What are your plans post-graduation?

A. I hope to enter industry and continue to do research.
