Jeff Foster starts off the 2008 Colloquium Series with his research "Static Analysis to Improve Software Reliability and Security".

The goal of my research is to discover fundamental new ways to improve software reliability and security. My focus is on developing language-based tools and techniques that find and prevent software defects.
