Hanan Samet wins 2014 W. Wallace McDowell Award

Computer Science Department Professor Hanan Samet has been awarded the 2014 W. Wallace McDowell Award, the highest technical honor awarded by the IEEE Computer Society. This award recognizes Dr. Samet for his fundamental contributions to the development of multidimensional spatial data structures and indexing, translation validation, and proof-carrying code.
