Policy Regarding Open and Closed Assignments

In this course we have two kinds of assignments: homework exercises, and projects. They can be classified as open or closed. The guidelines for open and closed assignments is provided below.

Closed Assignment

You must complete the project/homework by yourself. Assistance can only be provided by the teaching assistant (TA) and/or instructors. You must not look at other students' code. You must not submit another student's code (all or in part) as yours.

Open Assignment

You should try as much as possible to complete the project/homework by yourself. Assistance can be provided by the teaching assistant (TA), instructor, or students in the course. You must not look at other students' code. You must not submit another student's code (all or in part) as yours.
