Five cards with values that are consecutive values without "wrapping around" (with once important exception listed below) is called an "Straight". For example: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
This is an example of a "straight":
These cards contain the consecutive values (2, 3, 4, 5, 6), so it is an "straight".
With straights, the Ace behaves a little different from other
cards.
It can be used either as the "low end" (value of 1)
or as the "high end" (value of 10)
but not both in the same hand to try to "wrap around".

However, the hand below is NOT an straight!!
Again, the hand above is NOT an straight.
A straight cannot wrap around since the Ace can't be treated as
both a 10 (which comes after 9) and a 1 (which comes before 2) in
the same hand.
