Adil Yalcin: Making Data Visualization More Comprehensible
PhD student Adil Yalcin's work on Keshif, a web-based data visualization tool designed to be readily usable to a wide audience, was featured in a Mobility Lab article this Monday. Yalcin is co-advised by Associate Professor Niklas Elmqvist and Professor Ben Bederson.
Keshif, per its website, “...lets you explore and understand your data collections, visually [and] easily.” Among many other features designed to improve usability the program determines the most suitable visualization for a set of data, reducing the amount of complexity the tool's users are faced with.
Congratulations to Yalcin for this well-deserved recognition!
