[Overview..]
-
Generally my research interests encompass networked and distributed system,
high performance computing, and applications of computing system and security.
- My Ph.D. research is to apply distributed overlay network technique (DHT)
for scalable, reliable and heterogeneous computing platform by exploiting
multi-core and GPGPUs. Before Ph.D. study, I worked for Korea Telecom
research center for five years mainly focusing on wireless network system
and Internet map service (like google map). Currently I am Research Scientist at
Samsung US Labs in San Jose. My research focus is about application software
(e.g. Hadoop, NoSQL) for cloud compuing platform and Big Data application.
How to optimize software performance with flash technology is my reasearch goal.
- I have 12 IEEE/ACM conference/journal/workshop papers and
internship experiences in industrial research centers (NEC labs and Bell labs).
