Correction
By "classic lineup" author means Waters, Gilmour, Mason, Wright.
Rick Wright was not in the band during the recording of
The Final Cut, thus making The Wall (1979) technically the
last Pink Floyd album in "classic lineup".
Analysis
Author definetely did not know that Rick was not in the band
by 1983, and choose bad wording. Had he written "... became the
last work of classic Pink Floyd" noone would have objected.
