We've used Skoll to conduct
several testing scenarios across a fairly large and complex
configuration space (~20,000 valid configurations) belonging to the
ACE+TAO CORBA middleware project. We quickly identified numerous
errors that were previously undiscovered by ACE+TAO developers.
We also confirmed that data from the DCQA process can be analyzed and automatically characterized to provide useful information to developers by narrowing down the issues they examined to determine the root cause of failures. Finally, we found that configuration models are flexible tools that enabled us to create complex QA processes we had not foreseen originally. Some of our recent work is described in:
