Problems with SQL Group-By

• No direct construction of histograms

  • no aggregation over computed categories
  • GROUP BY Year(date)

• No direct support for cross-tabulation, roll-ups and drill-downs

  • no multi-dim view of data
  • no notion of hierarchy
