Program Overview
The Java Passport Program is a program for middle and high school students interested in Math and Computer Science. The program includes an emphasis on encouraging females, African-Americans, and Latinos to the fields of Math and Computer Science. This program is offered by the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland at College Park and it is offered at no cost to the student (students are only responsible for any transportation arrangements).
This program is very competitive and the number of spaces available is limited. Students with the strongest academic background are selected. Homeschooled students are encouraged to apply to this program.
