Snowy White

• [Feb 27]. In the end of 1976 Snowy was asked to be the second guitarist for the In The Flesh tour. As a sort of audition Roger had him play a solo which formed the bridge between the first and the second couplet of Pigs on the Wings. This version ended up on the 8-track cartridge of Animals (1977) and can also be found on the Total Eclipse Roio-box and a remixed version of that song appears on Snowy's new compilation album Gold Top.

• During the gigs of the In The Flesh tour (1977) Snowy played bass (he opened the show with Sheep), twelve string guitar and acoustic guitar. On roio's he can especially be heared during the extended solo of Pigs on the Wings II and part 8 of Shine on You Crazy Diamond.

• After the notorious last concert of the tour, in Montreal (July 6, 1977), the band led by Snowy played a long, sad blues as music for the people to leave to. David Gilmour had walked of stage to watch from the P.A in the meantime.

• Snowy plays all guitar parts on Richard Wright's Wet Dream album. One of these tracks can be found on Snowy's Gold Top compilation album.

• [Feb 27]. During The Wall concerts Snowy participated on the shows in Los Angeles, New York and London (1980 shows only). He was part of the Surrogate Band and got the chance to play an exellent solo during Another Brick in the Wall (part 2). Snowy wasn't present at the other Wall concerts because he had obligations to Thin Lizzy at that time, a band of which he was an official member by then.

• [Feb 27]. Snowy was rumoured to be on Roger's The Pros And Cons Of Hitch Hiking tour, but it never happened.

• Snowy participated on the recording of demos for Roger Waters' albums Radio Kaos and Amused to Death but cannot be found on the final products.

• Snowy was part of The Bleeding Heart Band during the Wall in Berlin (July 23, 1990) and the short Guitar Legends concert in Seville (October 18,1991). At the concert in Berlin Snowy used Roger's GP-8 effect-processor. After the concert Roger told him he could keep it. Snowy uses this gadget every now and then at his own gigs.

• Snowy was present at the Rock-a-Baby charity concert (Feb 1, 1991) David Gilmour did with people like Paul Young, Paul Carrack, Andy Fairweather-Low, Pino Palladino and Andy Newmark. However, he didn't play in this band himself.

• Keyboard player John 'Rabbit' Bundrick (a.o. from the band Free) supported Dave Gilmour during the Columbian Vulcano concert in the Albert Hall (Feb 9, 1986). Later Gilmour produced Rabbit's Jam Rabbit Gets Loose and he played guitar on two tracks of Rabbit's Dream Jungle album (Conquest and Through the Clouds). Rabbit can also be heard playing hammond on Roger's Three Wishes. At the moment Rabbit is part of Snowy's band and he can also be heard on Snowy's CD Highway to the Sun.

• Dave Gilmour plays a guitar duel with Snowy on Snowy's Highway To The Sun album in the song Love Pain and Sorrow. This explains why people saw Snowy at Dave's Astoria studio-boat at the time of the recording of The Division Bell (1994). Snowy took the tape with the basis for Love Pain and Sorrow to Dave's studio and they recorded three takes together. Afterwards Snowy uses the best riffs from these takes and mixed them into the resulting track.

• Snowy can be seen in the performance video of Roger's What God Wants (part 1). In that video he is miming the guitar parts. (The actual guitar is played by Jeff Beck).

• On Snowy's new compilation album Gold Top some of his best solo and session work can be found, among which Love Pain and Sorrow, Drop in from the Top (from Wright's Wet Dream), Pigs on the Wing (full length version).

• One of Snowy's future projects has been described as Floyd-like and mainly instumental.
